Like many other Photoshop Elements tasks, there is more than one way to reveal detail in shadows.
You can use a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer to reveal hidden detail and texture in areas of your photos. To learn how, see Photoshop Elements: Reveal Detail in Shadows.
